The Faith Divide

Poem for Spring

Muslim communities the world over are celebrating Navroz - Persian New Year.
And here in America we are starting to see the first signs of Spring. These last months have been a time of loss for many. But Spring and New Year are a time to consider possibility. For that, some Persian poetry:

The armies of the day have chased the army of the night, Heaven and earth are filled with purity and light.
-- Rumi

I don't know many muslim communities who celebrate nowrouz.Just some communities around the caspian sea and bordering Iran. Many of the people who do celebrate nowrouz are'nt necessarily muslim. And nowrouz itself is not an islamic celebration so i don't see why there has to be a muslim connection to it.

When the death to apostate/infidel and abuse to women passages are removed from the koran and Mohammed is recognized for what he really was, an illiterate, warmongering, hallucinating, and womanizing Arab then and only then will Heaven and Earth be filled with purity and light!!!!!!
