Your Jewish New Year's Resolutions
At sundown Sept. 18, Jews mark Rosh Hashana, the beginning of 5770 on the Jewish calendar, a period when they take stock of the previous year, pray for a positive coming year and reflect on how they can be better and holier. These meditations can be similar to "resolutions" made on the secular New Year.
What vows do you have for this year and what have you made in previous years? How successful have you been in achieving them?
If you would like your comments to be considered for publication in The Washington Post, e-mail Post religion reporter Jacqueline L. Salmon at salmonj@washpost.com with your resolutions, along with your contact information.
