CAIR's cause for concern

Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.), chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, will begin holding hearings Thursday on "the extent of the radicalization of American Muslims." Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, has characterized the hearings as "a witch hunt." Are they?

King also has said he believes the "self-radicalization" of American Muslims represents "a very small minority" of the overall community. What are the potential consequences of singling out one religious group?

Ghassan Elashi is serving a sixty-five year prison sentence for funneling money to Hamas. Randall Royer is serving a twenty-year sentence after pleading guilty to weapons charges in Virginia. Both had been at one time associated with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). Elashi was a founder of CAIR-Texas and Royer served as a communications specialist for the organization.

Based on those cases alone, CAIR has cause for concern in these hearings.

When these hearings were announced, I wrote that, "This is no "witch hunt."

Instead of attempting to "demonize" Americans concerned with homegrown radical Islam, Muslims should actively participate in these hearings to discuss how their faith is combating terror. The defensive, shift the discussion, allege "Islamophobia" tactics by CAIR are damaging to American Muslims and fuel distrust in non-Muslims.

Fortunately, there are American Muslims like Dr. Zuhdi Jasser. The former lieutenant commander in the United States Navy and outspoken opponent of radical Islam proudly participated in Thursday's hearings. Muslims like Dr. Jasser have the potential to help change the perception of Islam in America. There are alternatives to CAIR and Congressman King is providing them a platform.

CAIR refers to itself as the main national voice for American Muslims. That same organization, which claims to be moderate, had to rush to remove an image from one of its Web sites with the message, "Don't talk to the F.B.I," saying it was "subject to misinterpretation."

Deputy National Security Adviser Denis McDonough said last weekend in a speech to Muslims that, "violence and extremism are not unique to any one faith." I disagree. Can anyone name another faith that is today linked to an international, coordinated campaign of violence and terror? Only radical Islam meets that definition. That is why these hearings are necessary for America's national security.

Dear Jordan:

The reality of scenarios like this makes me appreciate former President, George W. Bush all the more. He never once backed away from calling a spade a spade. Our current poor excuse for a Commander-In-Chief has consistently demonstrated his preference for Islam over Christianity. Instead of spearheading hearings like this, the administration's response is to demonize those who are paying the price of freedom which is, "Eternal Vigilance." I am proud to be a member of the ACLJ, and greatful to have people like you, and Representative King working to keep America safe and free.

Keep up the great work!

Hi Jordan,

I noticed the scriptures that were being used against us. First of all The Lord God is in controll, NOT Mohamid! And, all of us human beings were created by The Lord God. Including Mohamid. As long as there are no musllims around, they cannot get radicalized. How many muslims are strong enough to resist them? Can they withstand the fear and terror of the Islamic left, and keep from doing their bidding? I believe that the Islamic left will do anything to get their own way, no matter who gets hurt. I feel sorry for the muslims who are peacefull, and love peace. I bet that the reason that they came to America, is to get away from the Islamic left, and the fear, and terror, that they left behind. All you have to do, is remember Saddam Husane (Please forgive my spelling). It's to bad that it is happening to some of them all over again. I belive that the Islamic left expect all muslims to obey the Sharia law at all cost at all times, no matter where they are. This country should be safe for all of our citizens. The Islamic left should be kept out of our country at all cost. Yes, in the Bible Christ Jesus says to love your enemies, exuse me for saying so, but I don't want any killers around me.
Even God says in the Bible, Thou shalt not kill. Therefore, in my mind, the Islamic left is all wrong!!!

Any Christian minister worth their salt would have no problem explaining to a secular governmental official in a public hearing why no one with higher than 4th grade reading comprehension skills who considers themself to be a disciple of Jesus Christ of Nazareth could possibly justify suicide bombing civilians in the year 2011 with any or all of those verses. Like seriously, a nationally publicized, publicly recorded explanation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ? That's not the Christian community's worst nightmare it would be a dream come true

In my opinion, CAIR is as much a front for man / woman (from here on out I will leave it with "man") controlled religion as is any chapter a front for man controlled religion. Are Muslims true to their beliefs in their deity? I think so. I think most want to attain favor from their Deity in order to receive forgiveness, salvation and acceptance. When the demented approach of literally following what is stated in the Q'uran and the Suras is used, the end result is cult behavior. It's much like when those who do not know, misuse the Word of God and use the "eye for an eye" excuse for violence, when Jesus says to forgive and pray for your enemies. Unites States citizens are free to choose whom they will worship. They are not free, however, to use that religion to threaten or take away our freedoms, liberties, safeties, or pursuits of any of them, whether singly or altogether. This is not Islamophobia. It is saying what is. When the liberal think tank assumes to give rights to those whose sole mission is to remove rights, everyone loses. The tax payer, the citizen, the next generation and the perpetrators all lose. If a christian sect, aka, cult, attempts to manipulate the Word of God for personal gain, all Christians are demonized. Allowing any sore to fester creates a horrible situation. It is right, in my opinion, to keep them on the radar and monitor them. We, as a nation, have endured many attempts by home grown terrorists to undo our democratic system all the while they were and are stuffing their faces with the foods that come with the benefits of a free democratic capitalist enterprise. Here is a suggestion. By an airline ticket and make room for someone who is literally dying to come here. Our nation, which is based upon Godly principles, though bruised at times by idiots, is still the best beacon of hope for many. We are a sanctuary based on Biblical principals. Give thanks that you can say things against this great institution without getting your body mutilated, or having your family destroyed because of your opinion.

Nobody is arguing that islamic radicalization is NOT a problem. You seem to think that your opponents don't know that some muslims are involved in some terrorist attacks. You're missing the point. The point is that this "hearing" was an ineffective, political stunt, that totally missed the point and attempted to demonize an entire group of normal American people.

Lets say most violent crimes are committed by black people. Saying that (if its true) isn't racist or hateful. But holding a hearing investigating "black people" as a community would be insane. Target the problem, not the people you associate with the problem. I think we are going look back on this time in our history and be embarrassed by Peter King and the likeminded people in our country.

Hi Jordan,

I think that a better way of combatting the radicalization of young people of the Muslim faith would be to come up with teaching methods and programs that Muslim parents could use (obviously for young children to teenage years) to discourage young people of having anything to do with taking revenge on others for wrongs (or perceived wrongs). Also, that it is terrible thing to kill themselves by blowing themselves up; especially blowing up innocent people who are just going about their daily lives. They are not on a battlefield. These people are unarmed civilians. If they want to join the military somewhere that's different. But, killing others can only be justified if one is in an actual war on a battlefield. There must be some "rules of war" that must be honored. Because killing unarmed civilians is Not An Honorable thing to do. It is Cowardly.

Also, I believe that there should be a massive ad campaign that targets young Muslims citizens that discourages them from getting caught up into the literally deadly consequences of associating and conversing with people of this ilk (Radical Islamic Extremists). Something along the lines of the famous, "Don't Talk to Stranger," that Americans have almost always been teaching their kids." Granted the message to young Muslim people of "Don't Associate with Violent Radicals" would probably need to be much more detailed, but maybe they could begin with this. I'm sure that all the good Muslim families here in America would not object to such a campaign & educational program to teach their children how to avoid people of these types & what to do in certain situations if they find themselves among them or if one of their friends begins to become radicalized. These are just a few ideas to start.

Hi Jordan,

I'd like to say that I can see both sides of this issue. Yes, it is true that, I believe, over 90% (?) of terrorist attacks in the world today are carried out by Radical Islamists. These radical Islamists are not only present & active on every world continent, but also, I cannot think of one country that they do not exist in at this time (They're even in Iceland, Greenland, & the mountains of Peru). We also have many Radical Islamists coming into the US from other countries, and it has been said that many terrorists have snuck through our borders. We all know that there are "sleeper cells" of Islamic terrorists that could act at any time. We have major Islamic organizations who have become linked with terrorists & fund them. Plus, we have a growing attempt for Sharia Law to be practiced here in the US. All that said, I believe that the issue of the home-grown radical Islamist terrorist threat is being reacted to in an overly fearful way. I know many wonderful Muslim people (I'm lucky), and I even have them as family members by marriage (I'm Catholic). These people treat be better than my own family! They live lives like a storybook type Christian model family. I just cannot say enough about them. So, I do understand that they are upset that their whole community is being singled out. They are stating that holding these hearings will cause more attacks etc. not because they are sure they will, but because they Fear that they will (these are not totally unfound fears). Since the Muslim people attending these meetings are on TV, and everyone can see their faces, and hear their voices, & what they say, they are actually taking their lives in their hands by doing so. They are making themselves targets of the Islamic radicals who want to get rid of them because they are taking part in the meetings. People on both sides are frightened & I can understand where both you, Jordan, and people on the other side are coming from. I think that American Muslim people feel marginalized and excluded enough; however, I know that everyone holding the hearings & those who support them have nothing but good intentions. I don't believe, however, that this is the best method or venue to try to tackle this problem of home grown Islamic terrorism.

@ Omida: The difference is that Christians aren't murdering more people EVERY YEAR than were murdering during all of the years of the Spanish Inquistion.
@Areyousaying,
The Catholic church covering up child molestation is tantamount to the murder of the aforementioned thousands every year merely because they won't convert to the religious and male supremacist cult of death and hate? Mankind has been at war with itself from the beginning; that is indisputable. We are here now, and only for a very short time.

At this moment in time, the "West", and more specifically the United States, is under an all-out assault from radical Islam; that is just a fact.

America should not apologize or bow to any threat to her survival. We are not a perfect people, but we have been, by far the most tolerant, generous and free of all peoples and nations on earth in recorded history. That's a fact.

It is our Christian heritage (historical) which shaped our Nation and Constitution. Unfortunately to our own peril, we have spat on that heritage and are now seeing the fruits of that monumental error.

The haters of our nation are, in fact, right in many of their accusations; I am convinced we have brought this national crisis upon ourselves for not adhering to our founding principles.

We scoff and vilify at anyone who adheres to (actual) Christian Biblical principles. There is not one other religious faith so vehemently attacked in our own country or on earth as the Christian faith.

So, face the facts and do the math. Our Nation was built upon Christian principle. We have been hacking-away at that foundation for decades. Is it really any surprise why we appear so vulnerable to those who hate us?

The threat to our national security is posed by more than those of radical Islam. The Islamic faith is actually a complete integration of religion and dictatorial government. The Quran repeatedly calls for the subjugation and/or murder of infidels (non-muslims). Radical muslims serve to headline this tyranny. If muslims will honestly remove all calls to this subjugation/murder from their religious texts and teachings, then, and only then, will Islam approach becoming a religion of peace. Until that pipe dream occurs, western cultures and countries must consider all who follow Islam to be of an invading army! Wake up people, this is not fiction!

Also, that the Qur´án openly preaches violence and hatred against "infidels", which are anyone not outside the Muslim faith.

According to the DVD "Obsession" the Qu'ran is the Qu'ran and whether radical Muslim or not all Muslims worship Allah & there ultimate goal-to overthrow Christianity. But Jesus will reign and HE is the ONLY way to HEAVEN. Sharia Law is real and I don't believe in trying to push Islamaphobia on people. Watch "OBSESSION" according to that DVD even the non violent Muslims will side with the radical violent Muslims. Sorry The HOLY BIBLE is the only way to freedom and Heaven. The fact remains if they are trying to push Islamaphobia on people means Islam wants to push further into society and have their way. Do churches now holding Islam sessions think they can convert non violent Muslims. Maybe some but why not teach the Bible more and strengthen the Christian? This is spiritual warfare and Islam wants to win. I will trust in the only way Jesus Christ, the Holy Bible and the cross. To Islam, the symbol of the cross means war. MaryAnn

The average American is so spoiled to our way of life that we tend to ignore anything negative that requires thought and attention on our part...we're far too busy on our cell phones and such to stop and think about this muslim problem that has reared it's ugly head in America. Given the nature of their cult (to destroy American way of life), we should require a public statement from every muslim that they are committed to America and dennounce Islam & Mahammed. If they aren't willing to pledge their allegience to this country, then send them where they can be muslims. Any muslim who is tied to questionable activity, ship them out of this country. They would not afford any non-muslim the political correctness of a second chance. I am a woman from a small town in America...surely if I can see what these true "infidels" are up to, people from more affluent places in this country must be able to see it. I'm of the opinion that people who can do anything about such as this are lacking in the common sense department. Peter King seems to be the only one who is brave enough to stand up against them. What is happening to American people...it's like we've got our heads in the sand. We allow everything ungodly to go on in this country that our living God took his own time to make for us...the greatest Nation in the world...and here we sit letting people with a dead psycopath for a god take root in our God blessed country! I definitely think it would be reasonable for any peace loving religion to explain to the secular governments of the world which scriptures exactly are being twisted by the radicals of that religion to convince its previously peace-loving members to suicide bomb busloads of unarmed jewish civilians. I mean if I know I'm going to heaven and I know you're going to hell it seems like suicide bombing you would be the most selfish, cowardly, lazy, and unkind activity that a human being could ever possibly undertake in their earthly life. But apparently some consider it heroic. So I would be interested to understand which scriptures are used in the radical propoganda to convince people of that being a noble gesture.

Tolerance becomes a crime when applied to evil. Thomas Mann

Muhammad, founder of Islam and author of Koran, was mentally sick psychopath, could not read and write. While in seizure, he uttered disjointed phrases, which his followers represented as Allah divine afflatus. This is the history of Islam that muslims and “honest and free” western media would not like you to know. These facts show that islam is not a religion, but a cult.
Read: “History of Middle Ages” Professor Nikolay A. Osokin, Textbook (in Russian), Publishing house: Imperial University Printing Office, Kazan, 1888, 771 pp.; Publisher: ACT, Harvest, Moscow, 2008, 672 pp. (reprint)
“Great” arab inventions. Obama’s Cairo speech.
In his Cairo speech, Obama accredited to arabs all fundamental inventions human race made over centuries. None of the Obama mentioned is true, as every person graduated from credible high school knows. However, it does not mean that arabs, great nation with centuries of history, has no inventions critical for human life. They have and here they are:
1. Ethnic Cleansing - invented centuries ago, implemented over 2000 years ago in Israel when they occupied Israel and disseminated Jews around the world; from 1948 through 1953 arab countries expelled a million Jews and stole their properties; in 1974, Turkish armed forces invaded Cyprus, captured 36 percent of its territory, partitioned the island, implemented a policy of “ethnic cleansing” and sent close to 200,000 Greek Cypriots southward as refugees who lost their property, desecrated churches and cemeteries, and in 1983 declared the northern Turkish Republic of Cyprus; in 1999, Kosovo Liberation Army stormed homes of the last 15 Jews in Kosovo’s capital, who had to clear out, with just the clothes on their backs; recently, Jews in Yemen were under attack and have been relocated to Britain.
2. Genocide – invented by Turks and implemented in 1915–1917 in Armenia: over 1.5 mln. Armenians, including children, died.
3. Holocaust – invented by Haj Amin al Husseini, the Mufti of Jerusalem, in 1920s in Palestine (occupied territory of the State of Israel); implemented in Palestine in 1920s-30s; in 1941, Haj Amin al Husseini brought the Holocaust idea to Hitler and helped him to implement Holocaust in Europe 1941-45; he organized in Europe two islamofascist brigades that operated under SS control, had their own concentration camp, and killed tens of thousand of Europeans, including Jews.

Islam is based on three fundamental principles:
1. Stealing
2. Killing, and
3. Lying
Islam is fascist cult and must be eliminated from the earth.

Our government tends exactly the other way almost to a fault. Are Muslims bringing over not only their crazy laws but also their understanding of what government is for!?!?! BEWARE!!

Great article. Americans have the right to look into what various groups are doing. We must stop being bothered when people call names and make accusations because they don't want to be investigated. Muslims are becoming very adept at using our laws against us and to their benefit, just as they used our airplanes to annihilate thousands of people. King is on the right track. And bravo to Dixiedewberry for the Teddy Roosevelt quote. It says it all. Identifying Americans in subgroups is killing us. Be an American or go home.

JPass1, You stated, "Not every German we fought against in WWII were Nazi's. In fact, Nazi's were a minority in Germany's military."
Misguided or not we still had to fight the whole German military. Every man is responsible for his actions then as now. We can sit idly by and let Muslims, radical or otherwise, take over our nation as they are trying to do in every nation they've occupied or we can demand that they become Americans.

As Teddy Roosevelt said, "In the first place we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin.

But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all.

We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people." January 03, 1919

It is time discrimination ended by becoming Americans. Not African-Americans, Indian-Americans, Mexican Americans, German-Americans, Chinese-Americans etc. but Americans. It seems that white people are the only ones that claim the title of being just plain ole AMERICANS. Interesting isn't it? There has never been anything more divisive in the history of our nation than this one demand to be different.

The question before us is whether or not these people want to be Americans; not Muslim-Americans existing under Sharia law with any other allegiance but to the American flag and its people.

Let's be truthful here. Sharia law merely enforces Islamic principles. Under Shariah law ALL Muslims are required to support "legal" (under Sharia law, which claims worldwide jurisdiction) fatwas/jihad, which merely means sponsored by an Imam. That support can be done either violently, financially, or passively. If they do not, they risk being accused of apostasy, punishable by death under Sharia. And, under Mohammad's doctrine of abrogation the later, violent suras abrogate the earlier, peaceful suras. Sura 9 is the oldest and one of the most violent Suras in the Quran.

Under Mohammad's doctrine of taysir, the obligation (Islam means submission) to enforce Islamic (Sharia) law is only lifted until there are enough Muslims/Muslims in power to be able to enforce it. And, a global jihad has declared war (jihad) against the West, indeed the whole world. The jihad in Africa has been genocidal. The jihad in the U.S. has been political tagiyya (Mohammad's deceit of war) and is utilizing useful idiots, much like Lennon and the Iranian revolution. History shows these facilitating idiots are promptly killed when the goal (here Sharia for all) is obtained.

Now, there might be Muslims who came to the U.S. to escape the harshness of living under Sharia law. Indeed, since converting from Islam is a crime under Sharia law punishable by death there might even be a majority of Muslims trapped in Islam against their will. However, since we have not yet shored up holes through which Sharia is surging in, and Sharia (with it's guarantee of privilege to Muslims and plunder and impunity for crimes against non-Muslims and women)is opposed to the very foundations of U.S. law (freedom of conscience and speech, equality of the sexes, etc.) and the standard of U.S. law (reasonableness) we are not protecting those who wish to escape Sharia. The U.S. needs to educate itself on Islam and make the U.S. a Sharia-intolerant society.

Imam Rauf says that these hearings will only fuel fear, suspicion, and hatred, but I and many others are already fearful and suspicious of Muslims, appropriately so. The Quran gives Muslims permission and advises them to lie and hide their agenda if it serves the Muslim cause. With terrorism due to Muslim acts worldwide and many Muslims proudly claiming responsibility for these acts, how can Muslims deny that we have cause to be concerned? I I believe that many Muslims lie about their actual beliefs and intentions; they are a very dangerous organization.

It is very offensive to me that these people talk about jihad and kill in the name of allah, and threaten people hoping they would shut up and be "submissive." Millions of Americans had died bravely for this country. What makes this CAIR people think that they could threaten a nation of brave Americans, accuse them of being racist and hateful, when I have seen every hate speech coming from their leaders. I think it is time to tell these people that if they don't like it, they can all go back to the country they are from and practice all their hate speech there.

Unfortunately most Americans are CLUELESS and view Islam as a religion (it is a complete way of life dictating not only religious doctrine but government, financial and social as well)Under Sharia law it is illegal to raise your voice against Islam in any manner. During Ramadan it is ILLEGAL to eat in the daytime during the month of Ramadan. The countries which operate under Sharia law will put you in jail (muslim or not)for eating a big mac before dark. They can also put you in jail for insulting a Muslim. It is the duty of Muslims to not rest until every country is governed exclusively by Sharia. They will tell you that Islam is peaceful but you will only buy that if you know nothing of Islam. Unlike the Bible, which had many authors over many hundreds of years, The Quran was written by one man over one lifetime, in the beginning it has a peaceful message and toward the end it becomes extremely violent and intolerant. The bible has conflicts which we let stand, in Islam they have a simple rule, if there is a conflict the last word written (Hence the more violent) takes precedence. the Bible has parables and vague messages, The Quran is to be taken literally word for word. 3rd and most important, Muslims are directed to "Deceive" non-Muslims if it furthers the cause of Islam, it is called "Taqiyya". I hope and pray that this is stopped in its tracks but we Americans are a complacent lot.

Thank you Jordan...yes, this is extremely important...and yes, we need to stay informed and alert. I think it's amazing that these hearings are quite nicely showing "someone fears exposure." If there is nothing to hide, there is nothing to fear in hearings. However, for more evidence about radical Islam and Sharia(h)law, Read: "A God Who Hates," "Cruel and Usual Punishment," "Now They Call Me Infidel," or "They Must Be Stopped," all by former Islamic women who testify to the horrors of Sharia Law and radical Islam. Thank you, Rep. King, for the hearings and I pray they will be truthful and expose evil. One commenter is so right....no other "religion" has been so involved in murder and mayhem throughout the world. Sharia Law must NOT be allowed in America. The idea that Muslims should not be singled out for investigation is ridiculous. Only Muslims pose a major threat to the nation and to other religions. Christians grow through conversions; the Muslim faith has been spread throughout history by the sword. The major acts of terrorism are by Muslims--so we should investigate Christians? Churches are open to the public, and are not known to be a place for weapon-storage, as have mosques. Nor are churches sites for indoctrinating in jihad, but rather teaching love and the golden rule. The Muslim Brotherhood is attempting to use (and abuse) our ideals of freedom to spy out our liberties. and eventually eliminate them.

There is no way Dr.Jasser can change Islam unless he rewrites the Quran and re-educate all the brain washed Muslims.

You do recall Muhammad's directives [Surah 9:5,73] to "break the cross" and "kill the infidel"?
(Note: Qurans have different verse divisions, depending on the translation. Your Quran may have these verses with slightly different numbers.)
Chapter 5: 17 – 19; States Christians are infidels for believing Christ is the Son of God.
Chapter 5: 33; Cut off hands and feet, crucify, and banish those who stand against Islam.
Chapter 5: 51; Muslims forbidden to take Christians and Jews for friends.
Chapter 5: 72-75; Christians are infidels; for believing in Deity of Christ; Passage denies Holy Trinity.
Chapter 8: 12-15; Decapitate infidels; i.e., those who stand against Mohammad.
Chapter 9: 5, 6; Slay Idolaters
Chapter 33: 26, 27; Passage justifies the beheading of hundreds of Jewish men, enslavement of their wives and children, and the spoiling of their property.
Chapter 33: 61-62; God wants the murder of those who stand against Islam.
Chapter 47: 1-4; Kill those who do not believe in Mohammad.

Dear Jordan, Thank you for the article and the opportunity to respond.First Everyone needs to read the book "Muslim Mafia" by David Gaubatz and I think there will be Profound clarity on the need for these hearings and many more on this subject. I disagree with MaryP in that there are more like 1.6 billion muslims in the world not 3.5billion and their numbers in the US are far smaller than those at cair would have you believe. Ask them about their pamphlet "Khilafa" and "World Wide Islamic Domination" I don't understand in that all of my awareness suggests that all of Islam studies the same Quran and I was led to believe there are 26 "hadiths" that direct the use of violence as in the english translation approved by Cair translated by Yusuf Ali. He states in regards to "jihad" to strike with vigor and place your "blows at the most vital points(necks)and the fighting may take the form of slaughter, capture, siege, ambush " ....These certainly are not statements of a peaceful approach to life. Wake up people. Please read the book with an open mind. It may save our Country !

This pending hearing on radicalization of Islam is not a witch hunt. Similar to most serious geo-political problems that begin to develop, most people do not want to be bothered with any sobering details until a crisis occurs, and then it may be too
late. If the majority of citizens were paying attention to this current movement of Islam to dominate the world, they would be concious of what their leaders and radical muslims have succeeded in accomplishing in Europe and their establishment in even certain parts of the United States, such as Dearborn, Michigan. There is no other bonifide religion that looks upon believers in other faiths and states that these people are infidels, and if they do not convert to Islam, kill them. Also, if they do or say anything that may not be morally right, so long as it promotes Islam, it is OK. Mine is not "hate-speech". This is a truism. I do not hate muslims or anyone else for that matter, but I insist that we call a spade a spade. It is very difficult to triumph and overcome a threatening situation when the truth cannot be heard. Hearings are needed, especially to wake up Anerica's society.

History and archeology prove allah is not the God of Abraham.. He was the ancient moon god also named allah .. Mohammed's father was named after this moon god allah long before mohammed declared him the god of Abraham...

The Bible says satan claims he is god and deceives the masses... The only way he could do this is by claiming he is the God of Abraham since He is the true God...

Mohammed was a complete counterfeit of Jesus but in reality the antithesis... Maybe it is time the church educate their congregation instead of teaching mohammed in sunday school and placing the gospel of antichrst koran beside the holy word of god in the Chrislam churches.....The Bible says you cannot eat of the table of the lord and the table of satan...

We need to get as much information to the public as possible. America sort of went to sleep after the 911 year passed into the years of serious economic problems.

Parents have to put food on the dinner table. There isn't time for everything and the Moslem threat seemed way off and far away and too many truly important issues barred the way. There just wasn't time.

BUT - because responsible people are getting out the information on what is going on with radical Islam, people are beginning to wake up and get scared.

Being scared is not always a bad thing. It keeps us from walking in front of 10 wheelers.

Keep the news coming. Make noise. Wake up America. Or, there are crafty plans for America to become another power source for Iran. Our dissident children, whom we were working so hard to feed and educate, will have their hands cut off or be stoned to death in front of our eyes.

Sudan is an example today... millions killed and displaced by muslims and then Arabs go in and steal their lands..

The koran teaches to go into towns while they are sleeping and kill them all if they refused to convert... 9-11 was an example of their peace ...There are dozens of koran verses instructing the murder of complete towns.... I believe muslims murdered 1 million Armeanians during the early 1900s... The koran according to 1 John 2-22 is the gospel of antichrist..Need I say more...

This is like scrutinizing the wall street collapse by having a hearing to investigate white males, (I'm assuming most of the irresponsible business and lending decisions were made by white males..), or challenging abortion by conducting a hearing investigating black women under 30. Or trying to reduce illegal immigration by having a hearing investigating latin americans. This hearing doesn't address the problem, which is TERRORISM- not islam.

There are 3.5 billion muslims in the world. Having 6 people come in and tell stories does not shed any light on terrorism. If you're going to have a hearing on terrorism, have someone from the FBI, state department or the pentagon come in and testify on the threat of terrorism. I watched some of the hearings this morning and found them to be a theatrical, hugely uninformative, and a waste of time.

Violence and extremism associated with faith? Sure, your denomination, Southern Baptists are closely associated with Slavery, Jim Crow, KKK, lynchings, demonization of Jews and Catholics, criminalization of Homosexuals, opposition to female suffrage and property rights, preventing miscegenation, and more.
