Greed is the Seed of All Sins
In my opinion the most deadly of the seven sins is GREED. It not only makes people selfish but it enables people to rob the poor for their own personal aggrandizement. I think it is also at the root of most of the other six sins. We see a proliferation of GREED not only among Christians but among all people everywhere and this is eroding values and morals of a civilized society.

Gandhi has already resigned from Rochester following his poorly thought out tirade against the Jews. Interesting that he chooses the Christians here in relation to greed. Not that I doubt there are greedy Christians, I just find it curious that of the faiths which contain the deadly sins, he chose Christianity.

i think you are correct....in the old testament it was cains greed closely followed by envy that led to the death of his brother....in the new testament it was the love of money over God that were the 2 masters, without the underlying greed the envy could knott exist... greed and fear, seem to be th root of much of the vil in the world it eye think can bee distilled into i want....and i'm afraid i will not get what i want when i want it and just in the manner i demand it to be presesented of course because this is what i deserve..... sounds kind of silly when you say the words out loud or write them down ey think butt i'm just an artist not a theologeon

Nope. Greed is related to all other sins it is the father of none. That would be selfishness which while it is related to greed is not synonymous with it.
