Following Gandhi's antisemitic rant, he went on to blame Jews, literally, in venue after venue (Indian), on line, for the reaction to his screed.

I published these on OnFaith, pointing out that he had learned NOTHING from his hateful post. NOTHING.

I agee with your grandfather. IMO all religions are human made, while spirituality we are born with.

Yes, well, Mr. Gandhi, considering your antisemitic diatribe of a couple of years ago, which cost you your job, and about which you were to let us know what you had "learned," I suspect you are an excellent spokesman for organized religious thuggery, though not necessarily for spirituality.

A note on translating things for the West, Mr. Ghandi:

'Spiritualism,' particularly when capitalized, is the name of a particular Victorian movement (The stuff involving seances and Ouija boards and trying to contact ghosts and some of the stuff the Theosophical Society was about,) and things that resemble that, not the same as being 'Spiritual not religious.'

'Spirituality' is kind of part of a 'way of being,' (like in the words 'sexuality,' 'proportionality,' 'polarity,' even 'modality,') ...An -ism is like a religion or ideology or in a more general sense a way of doing, (Capitalism, communism, magnetism.) In terms of labeling groups, it's usually about an ideology.

'Spiritualism' is a practice of trying to contact spirits. (When they coined the term, it pretty much 'ghosts' ie spirits of dead people.)

Not to say that, as I'm sure you know, there isn't a lot of general linguistic chaos in the English language, but you may not wish to use 'Spiritualism' to describe 'Spiritual but not religious' people at least for this kind of audience.

The spiritual quest is often understood as a desire to reach God, or to attain spiritual enlightenment. It is a search that is often challenging, full of questions and uncertainties.
