PURLGURL, I had some experience with this JosiaJosephi (Hew), YasserYousufi. Every time he tries to lock horns with me he ends up accusing me of being a Hindhu bigot and throws a tizzy fit. He either accuses me of making jokes of his religion, which is actually true, because the whole religion is a ludicrous, or that I am ignorant fool, or latest pathetic old man. i don't know what he knows about me that lands him to conclude I am old. One thing people need to remember is that there is a concept of abrogator & abrogated. Which simply put, the last statement about any subject stands. That means a statement plucking the genital hair contradicts 20 previous statement about plucking genital hairs then the last one stands.

Now believe it or not Koran goes into such minutiae of cosmetics as which hair is permissible to be plucked and which is not, and which manner. What is beyond me is that a religion that proscribes women from even showing the face of a women is so obsessed with proper coiffuring female genital areas. No wonder i cannot help myself but to ridicule the religion. I digress.

Back to abrogated & abrogator. First of all the chapters of Koran are not numbered in the temporal order they were revealed. The urban legend has it that to confuse the non-believers the muslim took the names of the chapters and threw them in the air. As the picked the chapters sequence in the opposite order in which the names fell to the ground. Back to abrogation, my question is if this just the verbatim revelation of DOG the almighty, then why is there a need for abrogation. Or else why is there a need for editing the perfect word. This always trips them over.

I've been reading these interesting posts and I think that on this subject (right/wrong thinking about Islam) a very sensitive one indeed, that it is proper for certain thinking to come to fruition in order to make reality more clear to the average human layman/beings mind, when trying to explain what a Muslim or a Jew, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist etc. is and for the sake of "Reasoning' for those avid thinkers from so many other religious organization as currently from being old religion or new systems.

Example: Right Thinking, from a Western/English perspective, especially on the subject of Prophet Muhammad's name, one who has no original last name includes other and similar so called Prophet/god figures like Moses or Jesus, Gautama, Vyasa et al, does make us think about Muhammad who's name is on the front pages of this worlds news and problems.

The name "Muhammad" from a Westernized Englishman's thinking means or is revealed to us as:

"MU" sounds like "MOO" which is what a COW says.

"HAM" sounds like PORK which is a PIGS thigh/rump.

"MAD" sounds like ANGER which is mental state displaying EMOTIONS.

Not being a Vegetarian, yet I can see why these people called "MU-HAM-MAD" or MUHAMMADAN'S who eat COW meat (causing Mad-Cow Disease) includes LAMB (safest of all meats) or POULTRY (Cause Avian Flu) which indeed can cause Emotional and or physical problems without awareness of the source.

And in this reality that keeping "Kosher" or "Halal" or even being "Vegetarian" (also sickens people via SALMONELLA Poisoning) will not change a Human being's selfish and masochistic ways. Jealousy and Apathy are this planet's blind and lame side.

Do keep in mind that SWINE, in fact are the carriers of Swine-Flu. So MOO and HAM and MAD (Muhammad) taken together, can be why these so-called Muhammadans are so MAD, not only against MOSES'S People (Jews), but against VYASA'S People (Hindu) and GAUTAMA'S People (Buddhists) and JESUS'S People (Christians) and all "none Muhammadans" alike.

I think you really need to take your medication. You're having serious difficulty in reading and understanding clearly spelled out sentences. Maybe its old age. I said no apostate has been murdered in a state sanctioned death sentence in the 50 or so Islamic countries I know of. There are thousands of Apostates living in muslim countries of which I cited you some examples. If an apostate is murdered in an act of rage its a criminal offense whether committed in Pakistan or US. What do you say about Hindus burning Dalits to death for converting to Christianity?

They have no business in what other people believe in. Apostasy is not even an issue amongst muslims. The random acts of violence by muslims of killing the apostates has more to do with culture. No one condones them. The perpetrators of these crimes are punished where ever they commit these crimes. Do you know in India they burn the whole villages of Dalits who convert to Christianity? Its a cultural thing. Violent, uneducated people take it as an insult when one of their kins changes his/her religion. Same goes for cutting off body parts. Its a cultural thing. Some of your fellow Indian/Hispanic brothers involved in drug trade in Columbia and other parts of Latin America regularly chop off body parts of villagers who are accused of spying. It happens in all third world countries. Even the Europeans and Americans aren't immune to some really violent domestic violence, are they?

Not every Apostate gets killed in muslim countries. Let me educate you a bit, because your knowledge of Islam is obviously scanty. In Pakistan, my home country, there are Ahmedis who have been declared apostates by the state. Yet they are free to practice their religion. Build their mosques and even preach their religion. They have significant presence in high posts in the Bureaucracy, Judiciary and Army. Parvez Musharraf's wife was an Ahmedi. Its funny Pakistani's are significantly less fanatical about the religion of their leaders compared to you Americans. The huge debate about the religion of Obama, God forbid he might be a muslim! Pakistani's didn't bother much about Musharraf's religion when they elected him as President.

In the case of Islam, the connection between ignorance and prejudice may not be that strong. Before 9/11, my view as that it was a religion that promoted dysfunction within majority societies as evidenced by how they organized themselves in their respective nation states.

Now, having researched the religion more, I view them as inimical as well.

I truly feel empathy with American Muslims and their fear of a backlash against them, especially this coming 9/11. And, in reading the article, I applaud and thank them for giving of themselves by working in soup kitchens, feeding the poor, helping the downtrodden.

However, Americans of every faith also do these things.

What I am not reading or hearing are American Muslims loudly and widely, in every vehicle possible (newspapers, the web, TV, anywhere) deploring what their more fanatical brothers and sisters in their religion have done and are doing around the world, not just in the US.

I sympathize with the American Muslim's plight, but if they want mainstream Americans of all faiths to trust them after what has been done here in the name of Islam, they need to LOUDLY speak up against the fanatics within their own religion first. Otherwise, they have not earned my trust.

When I read the news, like this morning, I make a point to check the head count of people slaughtered by Muslims each day.

Typical and on the average, Muslims slaughter one-hundred people per day, each day year round.

News I read recently is of a Muslim father and mother here in America burning to death their three daughters who had become too "westernized".

One of their daughters was just barely out of diapers, a toddler baby. Her parents doused this baby girl with gasoline, flicked a burning match upon her, then stood and watched their baby girl scream and wither while slowly burning to death.

Big difference is being missed or lied about.Christianity had it's problems 500 years ago however Islam still to this day "kills" men,women and children for the simple offence of refusing to believe in their moon god.Huge difference in religions and cultures as most Muslims still think it's 800A.D.

I don't doubt that the vast majority of Muslims in the USA are regular people living ordinary lives.

But how many Fort Hood shootings, Times Square bombings and spousal beheadings is too many?
