Communion for All the Hungry

Who sets the rules? Whose table is it? I think Quinn was completely right to identify herself with the worship service marking the life of one she admired. For any religious tradition to claim that it alone controls access to God is the height of idolatry. I once saw a sign in an Episcopal Church in New Jersey that I really liked. It read: “The only prerequisite for receiving communion in this church is that you be hungry!” I think that one church finally got it right.
