Pope should abandon institutional self-protection, embrace transparency

Q:Should Pope Benedict XVI be held responsible for the escalating scandals over clerical sexual abuse in Europe? Should he be investigated for cases of abuse that occurred under his watch as archbishop of Munich or as the Vatican's chief doctrinal enforcer? Should the pope resign?

His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI should urgently come up with a White Paper on the reportedly mushrooming global sex scandal engulfing the Roman Catholic Church, which is unprecedented and shocking.

This authoritative Paper should honestly address the reported worldwide sexual abuse crisis the Church is facing; and then list the solutions, action program and implementation schedule. A monitoring body should also be established for future.

Instead of Church officials pointing fingers at the "hostile media", consumerism, and secularism; Pope should publicly acknowledge the reported past mistakes of the Church on this issue, apologize, and clarify his personal role in the crisis.

Stonewalling cannot go on forever to handle such a big church credibility crisis. It is now time to abandon the institutional self-protection and embrace accountability and transparency. Vatican should come out of its bureaucratic web and reset its priorities and undertake reform.

Besides being very crucial to the moral credibility of Catholic hierarchy, this crisis has also eroded the faith of believers in religion in general and resulted in their falling confidence. Eyes of the world are at Holy See now to see how it handles this scandal as Roman Catholics at about 1.17 billion are the largest single religious group.

At the heart of this issue is is a failure of individual souls to be true to their vows and the giving in to the dark side that is at the base of this deep and ugly wound. In focusing on those priests and religious who was seduced by the devil people should not forget all those good priests and religious who lived lives of pure love and service. There but for the grace of God could go any one of us. Now is the time to strive for personal holiness and bring back light into our darkening world.Whatever faith tradition we have grown up in now is surely the time to go down on our knees and pray humbly for God's graces to pour down into the hearts and minds of our troubled humanity

Transparency? Forgedddaboutit!!!

On November 6, 1999 Pope John Paul II in his sermon at the Sacred Heart Cathedral of New Delhi, INDIA, openly stated, "Just as in the first millennium the Cross was planted on the soil of Europe, and in the second on that of the Americas and Africa, we can pray that in the third Christian millennium, a great harvest of faith will be reaped in this vast and vital continent [Asia]"

This is a story from INDIA, where this - priests raping nuns and boys - disease is spreading like AIDS.

There is no heaven of glory bright, and no hell where sinners roast. Here and now is our day of torment! Here and now is our day of joy! Here and now is our opportunity! Choose ye this day, this hour, for no
redeemer liveth!

The only way to cure the cancer of catholicism, and stop the pedophilia, is to begin each ceremony of ordination to the deaconate with castration. Let any priest who wants to be celibate make a gift of his balls to jesus.

It's so disconcerting to hear this man(Pope) being called "Holy Father." He should not want anyone to call him that. He is not a Holy Father. He has no children and who said he was Holy other than his group of "generationally brainwashed" followers?

He is nothing more than a man who followed in the footsteps of other men who wanted the prestige of this "job" to get away with murder and I do mean murder and job., that's what it is a JOB and a very lucritive one at the expence of the believers.

Remember Pope John Paul I? (1978) He lived as Pope 33 days and then was killed by those who didn't want him to do the "good things" a Christian should do. They, the Vatican, got away with that murder by not having an autopsy. They cleaned up everything so no one could even find a clue if there was one. These are evil people who should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the INTERNATIONAL LAW AND IN THE WORLD COURT.

Don't let them continue their evil works on the good people of this world, most especially the sexual abuse of our children and marginalized adults.

THESE ARE the WORST CRIMES AGAINST HUNANITY SINCE , HITLER, MUSOLINI, STALIN ETC., ETC,.

Like the "Cable Guy says"GET 'ER DONE!"RID THE WORLD OF THESE EVIL BEASTS.
