In the Post: Bishop Harry Jackson
Today in the Post, staff writer Wil Haygood profiles Bishop Harry Jackson of Washington, the controversial Pentecostal pastor, "one of the more vociferous leaders in the anti-gay-marriage movement across the country."
Excerpt: "This is how Bishop Harry Jackson spent his summer vacation: He hustled back and forth across the District rallying his faithful flock who oppose gay marriage. He leaned into microphones over at the Board of Elections and Ethics, quoting biblical verse, decrying those who would trumpet marriage between man and man, woman and woman."

Another puzzling extremely long puff piece in the Post on a homophobic, hate-filled religious nut whose only goal is to destroy the lives of gay men and lesbians who only want to legalize a lifelong commitment of love. Why does the Post keep publishing garbage like this? When your lifelong work is to destroy gay marriage and spread hate and lies about gay men and lesbians, what God do you exactly answer to? How pitiful and sickening that so many supposedly religious people spend so little time working to solve the huge problems that face the poor in our country but yet are obsessed with gay marriage. Does Bishop Jackson believe gay marriage is a bigger threat to the poor in D.C. than AIDS or hunger? How about the homeless and those addicted to drugs? The lack of any access to health for the poor and their children? What about domestic abuse of women and children pervasive in D.C. and other cities? Gay marriage is our biggest problem and one you devote your life to?
How about helping the poor, the destitute and those who have no hope Bishop Jackson? Remember "live and let live?" You represent those who hate and vilify others for no reason.
