I wonder ...
Will the Archdiocese of Washington spring to the defense of the Washington Times?
After all, it appears that the Unification Church has a "core religious belief" that only members of the Unification Church deserve promotions, or even employment, at the newspaper. A successful EEOC suit/requirement would clearly "restrict the free exercise of religious beliefs" by the Uni-Church.
My quotations above are taken from The October 26, 2009 statement by the Archdiocese to the DC Council in opposition to the "gay marriage" bill #18-0482.
Seems to me that the same arguments hold equally well in both situations.
