First gay Episcopal bishop joining DC think tank
Just wanted to post something quick after seeing this announcement that Bishop V. Gene Robinson, the first openly gay bishop ordained in the Episcopal church, is wading into the waters of Washington policy.
The bishop is joining Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank run by John Podesta, President Bill Clinton's former chief of staff. According to the release, as a senior fellow, Robinson will be tackling issues involving "economic justice, immigration, LGBT rights, health care, and the environment."

Human decency is an imperative and not merely in religious institutions. I congratulate the Episcopal faith.
Featuring bigots as bloggers is not emblematic of human decency. This site currently features Rev. Jakes who considers homosexuality "brokenness" and Rev. Wright who worries himself about "them Jews."
The millions upon millions that these two have accumulated (links available upon request) and their strange bedfellows does not speak well for the Christian faith.
It does not speak well for OnFaith that it continues to ignore the anti-gay stance of many black churches in America.
No, sir, it does not.
