Pope blames church's 'own sins' for sex scandal
In what some observers are describing as his "strongest comments to date" on the Catholic clerical sex abuse scandal, Pope Benedict said, "The greatest persecution of the church does not come from the enemies outside, but is born from sin inside the church. . . . The church has a profound need to relearn penance, to accept purification, to learn on the one hand forgiveness but also the necessity of justice. And forgiveness does not substitute justice."
Benedict's remarks were made in response to written questions en route to a May 11-14 visit to Portugal. John L. Allen Jr. of National Catholic Reporter has a complete transcript of the pope's responses.

All religious that commit the act of sex abuse of a child must be put out of religious life totally. Any person in the Administration of the RCC no matter who that in any way that cover up the crime of sex abuse of a child by any religious of the RCC must resign. To hide the TRUTH to protect the IMAGE is totally wrong. IT IS TIME FOR A NEW POPE AND THEN VATICAN III TO TURN THE RCC AROUND FROM THE DARK AGES OF MEMBERSHIP CONTROL of the AMD.of the RCC other wise watch the young people vote with their feet.

And what the good pope is referring to is that over the last 1/2 dozen decades the church has permitted a swarm of gays to essentially take over seminaries to the point that if a straight males wished to become a priest; they are ostracized to a degree that makes it virtually impossible.
Please omit the tripe about homosexuality and pedophilia being different - I have yet to see any females molested by these perverts.
